How do I find a specific moment in a video?
Upload the video and let it analyze, then type what you are looking for — for example "the person opens the red door" or "the whiteboard with the diagram." SearchByVideo returns the matching timestamps in seconds so you can click and jump directly to that moment.
Can I search by scene, object, or action?
Yes. Because the AI watches the actual footage rather than only reading a transcript, you can search by scene (a sunset, a kitchen), by object (a laptop, a car), or by action (someone waving, a ball being kicked). Describe it naturally and the AI locates it.
Can I search for on-screen text?
Yes. SearchByVideo reads text that appears in the video — slide titles, captions, signs, product labels, or a "Subscribe now" call-to-action — and returns the timestamp where that text is on screen.

Is there a free plan?

How many credits does one analysis cost?
Each new video analysis costs 5 credits. Searching a video you have already analyzed is always free, so your credits are only ever spent on analyzing new footage.
What do the paid plans cost?
Pro is $24.99 per month, or $99.99 per year (the best value). It includes 150 credits per month and priority email support.
Do unused credits roll over?
Monthly credits from a paid plan expire at the end of each billing cycle and do not carry over to the next month. Your 15 free signup credits are one-time and do not expire, so you can use them whenever you are ready.
What happens if I run out of credits?
You can still search any video you have already analyzed for free, since searching never costs credits. To analyze new videos, upgrade to Pro, or wait for your monthly credits to renew.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
Yes, you can change your plan at any time. Monthly plans have no contract and can be canceled whenever you want with no penalty.
Privacy & security
Is my video private and secure?
Your video is uploaded to secure cloud storage (Cloudflare R2) and analyzed using the Google Gemini API. Analysis results are cached so you can search the same video again without re-processing. We share data only with the service providers that help operate the service, and your uploads are not made public. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Can I delete my videos?
Your uploads are tied to your account. To request deletion of a video, its analysis, or your account data, contact support@searchbyvideo.net and we will process requests as required by applicable law.
Do you use my videos to train AI models?
Your uploads are used to provide the analysis and search you request, and are processed by the Google Gemini API for that purpose. See our Privacy Policy for how your data is handled and retained.

What video formats are supported?
SearchByVideo supports common formats including MP4 and MOV, among others. If your file is in a widely used format, you can upload it and search it right away.
Is there a file size or video length limit?
Yes — video length is capped by plan: the Free plan supports videos up to 5 minutes and Pro up to 30 minutes. A longer video is not accepted regardless of file size. Within those limits, each analysis costs the same 5 credits and searches are free.
